Rolling Machine
Steel sheet manufacturing factories often produce a significant portion of their products in roll (coil) form to facilitate transportation. Sometimes, it becomes necessary to convert these rolled sheets into flat sheets for usage. The “Sheet Flattening Line” manufactured by Bozorg Dayani Machinery makes this possible with the highest quality and efficiency. In this process, while the width and thickness of the sheet remain constant, it is cut to the desired length. This line includes the following machines in sequence:
Coil Holder (Uncoiler):
The coil holder is designed to support and unroll sheet coils. This machine includes two mechanisms: one for holding the coil and the other for uncoiling. The holding mechanism can be either manual or hydraulic and is designed in lengths from 500 to 2000 mm. The uncoiling mechanism comes in three types:
- A simple non-motorized model (suitable for coils over 15 tons)
- A mechanical model with an electric motor (for coils between 5 to 15 tons)
- A hydraulic model with both mechanical and hydraulic motors (for coils under 5 tons)
This machine can be built to support coil weights ranging from 5 to 30 tons based on customer needs.
Sheet Leveling Machine:
This device consists of several steel rollers, a motor-gearbox, and a hydraulic system. It converts rolled sheets into flat and distortion-free sheets. Available in models with 5, 8, or 11 rollers, the machine can flatten sheets from 0.5 mm to 20 mm thick, depending on customer specifications.
Shearing Machine (Guillotine):
Following the line is a sheet cutting guillotine, placed according to the sheet’s width and thickness. Its task is to cut the sheets into desired lengths. Depending on the required thickness, the shearing machine is manufactured as either mechanical or hydraulic.
The sheet flattening line is fully automatic and equipped with a PLC system for ease of operation, including control of cut length, number of cuts, line speed, etc. To synchronize the operations of the uncoiler, leveling machine, and guillotine and determine cutting lengths, a control panel is used. The control panel is available in automatic and manual versions. The automatic panel is programmed with a servo motor for adjusting speeds, cut numbers, and various lengths. The manual panel is operated directly by the machine operator.
Sheet Collection Table:
At the end of the line, after the guillotine, there is a hydraulic collection table for stacking the cut sheets. The table is aligned with the guillotine surface and lowers automatically based on the load using strong steel arms and powerful jacks. It ensures proper stacking according to sheet thickness. Once the work is complete, the table moves 3 meters out from under the guillotine using its rear jack.
Sheet Rolling Machine (3-Roller and 4-Roller Models)
The sheet rolling machine is used to roll sheets into full circles, semi-circles, cones, and other curved shapes. As the sheet passes between the rollers and pressure is applied, flat sheets are converted into rolled (cylindrical) forms. By adjusting the force and roller angles, different shapes and diameters can be achieved.
The rolling machines produced by Bozorg Dayani Machinery are available in 3-roller and 4-roller models and are designed in sizes from 1 to 4 meters (custom sizes above 4 meters are also available). Depending on customer requirements, the machine can roll sheets from 2 mm to 50 mm in thickness. For sheets under 6 mm, the mechanism is mechanical, while thicker sheets requiring more force are handled with hydraulic systems.
This machine is offered in three configurations: PLC-controlled, mechanical, and hydraulic. By installing bending molds, customers can also bend various industrial sections such as angle bars, channels, profiles, rods, etc.
To enhance usability, a PLC-based control system can be installed upon request.
3-Roller Rolling Machine:
Suitable for standard rolling tasks and regular sheet work. This machine is not capable of “pre-bending” the sheet (zero-end rolling), which results in around 30 cm of scrap at the beginning of each roll. Therefore, it is not cost-effective for high-volume production.
4-Roller Rolling Machine:
This machine’s mechanism eliminates the scrap material at the beginning of the roll. The rolling process is applied to the entire sheet, with no waste, making it more economical in terms of material usage.
